To mark Children's Day 2014, Labour leader David Cunliffe asked New Zealanders to share their dreams for Kiwi kids. Over six days hundreds and hundreds responded.
When Labour started this campaign, we expected to receive many dreams for kids to be astronauts, firefighters or doctors.
What we actually received was heart-breaking and infuriating. Most were about ensuring that our tamariki had the basics in life - food, warmth, shelter and love.
Labour will change this. We stand for kids being able to follow their dreams, no matter where they are or how much money is in their parent's wallet.
On 5 March 2014 David read a selection of the dreams in our Parliament. Click here to hear your voices through David.
You can still share your dreams for our Kiwi kids with David and the Labour team. Please complete the survey below.
